THIS IS SMART! This is a search engine that is Google, but it doesn't use as many watts. When we use Google for a search engine, it uses a rack of watts to produce the all white screen, so Google created Blackle, which is a Google search engine with a all black screen... ORGANIC JEANS!!!!

SOOOOOO I was looking through a magazine, and I saw that Levi's has this new line of "Eco jeans". They are jeans made of 100% organic cotton and are suppose to fit extremely well. I went to the website, and they are about $68 and up, but they come in a lot of different cuts and fits. I think they would be awesome ask SANTA presents!! Solar House Decathalon

This is freakin awesome! i really want to try to go out and see this. It is a competition for college students to design and create houses that are appealing and environmentally great! This challenge deals with solar power. I saw this on the news and had to look it up. Jena Six

I just don't understand the legal system in Louisiana. I feel so much for this kid. I mean, first he was sent to jail and now he has to go to juvenile court. Barefoot Artists- Very awesome movement. This organization tries to build community within different areas that are not as fortunate or well off, nationally and globally. Pretty awesome and it started in Philly. Art is healing.

AAR: Project 1 Body Image
Part 1Sustain:
+ I believe that our group solve the problem of the t-shirts
+ well executed reuse of clothing to promote the problem
+ presented the entire package professional

Improves:
- The iron-on did not allow for unified design to the shirt unless it was white.
- Some of the recycled shirts were not flattering to public, others were better
- Powerpoint could have had more statistics or information
- Could have had more information attached to the shirts

What Ifs:
- Silk Screening could have unified the shirts with the image
- could have gotten more images, had multiple designs
- could have promoted the idea more around campus, gotten more people involved

Part 2:
I believed the structure we had was very good for the first four weeks. I think a little more in class time would have been helpful just to have a clearer understanding of what was wanted, but feedback was nice. Maybe a more structured brainstorming seesion outline so that it did not take up as much time.

the sentencing of the Jena 6, Louisana young black boys on September
20, 2007. These boys can go to prison for life behind a high school
fight against white students. This is serious family, and could be any
one of our youths. If you are unable to show up and send a message
about Racisim than Michael Baisden is asking all to wear Black that day
for Unity and send a silent or loud prayer to those young men who are
fighting racisim on behalf of us all.
Pass this important news to everyone. Spread the word.

Green Acts

I was on msnbc and saw this article about keeping lawn care products "green" instead of the chemical ones. I remember as a kid, my mom wouldn't let me go outside or our cats outside, if our neighbors were spraying lawn care stuff. I think this is really important because not only are the chemicals harmful to humans and animals, just imagine what we are putting back into the ground that grows our food. We are so concerned with what we eat... we should be concerned with how we grow our food. Jena Six

I was sent this link http://www.whileseated.org/photo/003244.shtml about these six boys in Jena, Louisiana. It really boggled my mind that this type of hatred still goes on even though I have experienced myself. These boys in Jena are in high school and were racial brutalized by white children at their school because they sat under the white tree and they were black. The white children threw nooses up over the tree to threaten the black kids. In protest, the majority of the black population at the high school sat under the "white" tree, peacefully. The adults brushed off the altercation as if it was nothing and the black students were acting up too much. Worst comes to worst and their ends up being violence when a white student says the "N" word to black students. The white student got his ass beat, pressed charges and now these kids who beat up the white student are being punished as adults. Violence is not the answer by any means, but like I've said, these are children, all of them. The adults didn't act and show that this type of discrimination and prejudice should be prohibited, especially in an educational environment. It blows my mind that this situation was allowed to just spiral out of control and as a person, I signed the petition to help the Jena Six. If this story outrages you as well... I ask that you please do so also. Racism and prejudice, to me, is just plain ignorant and unexceptable. Though violence is not an answer either, it shouldn't have been allowed to escalate or tolerated. Its just unacceptable.
